ChatRx is an independent virtual care service that has partnered with 4C Health to offer covered virtual urgent care as an employee benefit. 4C Health is your employer and benefit sponsor. ChatRx is the licensed medical provider handling the symptom check, physician review, and prescription. Both organizations are independent. Your visit is covered because 4C Health is paying on your behalf – there is no cost to you as an employee.
ChatRx treats 39 common acute conditions, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), sinus infections, strep throat, pink eye, ear infections, bronchitis, flu, tooth infections, BV, yeast infections, shingles, and cold sores. We do not treat chronic conditions, controlled substances, or anything requiring a physical exam. If your case is outside what we can safely treat online, we will tell you up front and recommend the next step, with nothing owed either way.
For 4C Health employees, a ChatRx visit costs $0. The benefit is fully covered by 4C Health. This includes the symptom check, the licensed physician review, the prescription (sent to any pharmacy you choose), and a work or school note when applicable. There are no copays, no claims, and no bills. Coverage applies to 4C Health employees only. Spouses, children, and other family members can still use ChatRx at the standard $25 flat rate.
Every ChatRx case is reviewed by a licensed physician. Cases are reviewed by Dr. Tod Stillson, MD, a family medicine doctor with 30+ years of experience in rural medicine, or another licensed physician from the ChatRx Medical Group. AI is used to help collect your symptoms and history efficiently, but no medical decision, prescription, or treatment plan is made by AI. A human doctor reviews and signs off on every case.
